Elon Musk tweets he’s thinking about taking Tesla private

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is apparently thinking about taking the company private, he said in a Tweet this morning.

Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured.

Tesla’s stock is currently rallying. It jumped as high as $371 and is currently trading around $367.

I’ve reached out to Tesla — given that this could just be Musk trolling all of us  — and will update this story if I hear back.
